  1. Create a FSA ID
    • How to create your FSA ID.
    • If have already created one but do not remember your password please visit the FSA ID website to reset your information.
    • If you need help please call 1-800-4-FED-AID (1-800-433-3243).
  2. Complete your FAFSA with LAPU school code (042788)
    • Please note that 2018-2019 FAFSA deadline is June 30, 2019. Starting July 1st you can only add the LAPU school code (042788) to an existing 2018-2019 FAFSA.
    • If you are starting/continuing with Fall 2019 you will need to complete the 2019-2020 FAFSA.
    • How to complete your FAFSA.
    • If you have already completed your FAFSA please just add the LAPU school code 042788.

  3. Create a Verify My FAFSA account if your FAFSA was selected for verification.
  4. Complete Federal Loan Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note (MPN).
    • If you plan to use federal direct loans to cover the cost of school.
  5. Create a Cal Grant Account (WebGrants4Students)
    • If you are a California resident that is eligible for the Cal Grant.
    • Need to complete a School Change to transfer your Cal Grant over to LAPU.
    • To see if you have any additional requirements by the state of California to receive your Cal Grant.
    • To see what is your Cal Grant eligibility.
    • Please visit the Cal Grant website for further information and requirements.

You may be eligible for a book voucher to help with the cost of textbooks if you have excess funds available from your financial aid. You may use the book voucher to purchase required textbooks online from the LAPU Online Bookstore. To submit a request, please fill out the Book Voucher Request Form (opens new window).
