  1. Create a FSA ID
    • How to create your FSA ID.
    • If have already created one but do not remember your password please visit the FSA ID website to reset your information.
    • If you need help please call 1-800-4-FED-AID (1-800-433-3243).
  2. Complete your 2017-2018 FAFSA
    • How to complete your FAFSA.
    • UC School code = 001117
    • If you have already completed your FAFSA please just add the UC school code.
    • For any questions please call 1-800-4FED-AID (1-800-433-3243)
  3. Create a Verify My FAFSA account if your FAFSA was selected for verification.
  4. Complete Federal Loan Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note (MPN).
    • If you plan to use federal direct loans to cover the cost of school.
    • UC school code = 001117
  5. Create a Cal Grant Account (WebGrants4Students)
    • If you are a California resident that is eligible for the Cal Grant.
    • Please visit the Cal Grant website for further information and requirements.

All forms on the Learner Portal are PDF's that can be completed and signed electronically. You may be eligible for a book voucher, in the form of "Cougar Bucks," to help with the cost of textbooks if you have excess funds available from your financial aid. You may use these Cougar Bucks to purchase textbooks online from the APU Bookstore. To submit a request, please fill out a Cougar Bucks Request form (opens new window).
